“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” ~ Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein had a great deal of respect for the imagination. Without imagination, how can people make a discovery or tap into their creativity? Consider these words: Image, Imagine, Imagination, Magi, Magic. Indeed by looking at them they seem related. The act of forming images on one’s mind is imagination. This seems to be a magical process. Children have vivid imaginations.
Why is it that so many adults lose this part of themselves? This question is best left for you to answer as speculation on part of the writer would only be her humble opinion. However, how does one recapture his or her imagination? This is the first article in a series on how to do this as there are numerous ways to tap into one’s imagination.
First, let go of the worries of tomorrow and enjoy this moment. Be open only to receive how you feel right now as you read this article and look upon the artwork. Now close your eyes for a few moments, and pretend you are a butterfly. After a few moments, open your eyes and consider the following questions: How did it feel to have wings? How did the world look to you as a butterfly? Consider your life as a butterfly, were you always a butterfly? What did it feel like when you were a caterpillar? How did the world seem to you as a caterpillar? Describe your transformation into a butterfly. Were you scared or did you feel safe and secure, when you were in your cocoon? How did it feel to emerge from that cocoon? How did it feel to use a little imagination? Please share your experiences in the comments below. Come back tomorrow for more imagination fun and development.

I’m going to ponder this for the morning and get back to you at lunch time.
OK, so it’s noon(ish) and I’ve had some time to refelct, including the Haiku ‘Sunrise’. Which I’ll explain by saying that I no longer say to others in the AM ‘morning’ … I always say “good morning’, because of the context, the NLP of the former… As for me, as for my butterfly … I know now, and can say definitiely, that I am still in the pupa stage, I am still within the cocoon, I see the light but have not taken flight. I work 9 to 5 / 24×7, as a technologist, and still have a need to stay, although the ties that bind me (socially because of legal obligations related to my first marriage) are close to ending, and from there it will be interesting, because the cocoon falls away, and once I feel I can fly, will I ? Why I do belive it’s true, and right now I am searching the horizon …
With such profound reflection you really tapped into your soul, GS, thank you so much for sharing your experience here with me. Do you sense how free it will be to spread your wings, to soar and flutter among the fragrant wildflowers? Imagine the summer breeze lifting you up and beyond that horizon…
I always get inspired by the quotes of the brilliant brains , and I reflect :
( Einstein took you everywhere by saying
” Logic will get you from A to B . Imagination will take you everywhere ” ,
what’s left for me then … hmmm … In the definition of SCR-# it applies :
“I will take you to eternity and infinity , because SCR-#[ f(E) = ∞ ; E=MC^2 ; I = { ‘H=# } ] . Q.E.D. ” — Jouni Sakari
{{{ ETERNAL LOVE IN INFINITY ♥ ♥ ♥ }}}
For me it’s always been vivid , my imagination … That is a good excersise to go “with the wings of the butterfly ” , so light and free ! That’s why it’s a symbol for the soul , and mind also ( psyche < Greece ) . . . Life is short , and the song comes in mind , by Rajaton : BUTTERFLY : http://youtu.be/oghj7y4hluU , I can fly ! I am a butterfly ! Sweet is the sound of my new born wings !
I learn so much from you Jouni Sakari…thank you so much for your enlightened mind and wise old soul. Your comments always tickle my heart and delight my being!
Thank you!!! ♥ Angi
