A day to play, a time to rhyme? SUPER!!! A comment that is independent of your poem: Today is a day that lives in Infamy. The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941. Government facilities are flying the flag at 1/2 mast in honor of the personnel that died that day. The US immediately declared war with Japan and officially entered WWII.
