a tickle of words to create smiles

Ah, sweet Love!

AhSweetLove

Love in its purest form cannot be explained with words; but only experienced. You know that feeling of absolute bliss. It is peace and joy at the same time. It is the desire to be kind, compassionate and helpful. It is that spark in your spirit that inspires you to be good and endearing to others.

It is that feeling of completeness. You are whole and one with everything and everyone. Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite days of the year next to Christmas. It is a day I believe that should be experienced everyday; the love and joy can be experienced daily if you so choose. I speak not of romantic love, but of a more reverent, profound love that penetrates the spirit like no other feeling.

Today is a great reminder of how love comes in many forms. I enjoy seeing children carry tokens of the day to their classmates and friends, as the joy friends experience as they wish each other a wonderful Valentine’s Day, as the love between a parent and child, as the love between new lovers and older couples in their twilight years, alike. Love is in the air. There is no doubt about that.

One only need to open his or her eyes. Perhaps, if we continue to keep our eyes open for signs of love on a daily basis, positive changes could take place. I know it has in my life.

May each of you have a WONDERFUL day filled with LOVE and JOY; may these feelings of BLISS carry-on and continue through the rest of your life! I love you! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Make Time…for YOU!

AKO-MakeTimeForYou

Make time for those things you truly want to do. Worry not. The things that need your attention, will get it, but with more joy! The key is to schedule your time with balance in mind. I have found this to work really well for me! I find that I am getting so much more done because I am able to put forth more enthusiasm and energy to all my tasks because I scheduled in some “fun”.

I know during this time of year is a season of preparations, parties, shopping, decorating and loads of busyness. It does not have to take the wind out of your sails if you take the time to take a breather or two daily. And, yes, life happens when you make plans.

So, keep it flexible. You already know what you need to do. Just include an activity or two that will give you a spark. For me it is creating art to music. One song takes 5 minutes maximum. With a bit of set-up and clean-up, it is a total of ten minutes; and, wow, I am ready to do the next “need-to” task. What activities can you “squeeze-in” that will make you blissful? Balance is the solution!

Simply BLiss-behaving

BLISS-behaving is a term I coined to describe how I enjoy behaving…BLISSFULLY!!! It is fun to BLISS-behave as you are spreading your bliss everywhere you go. It is a positive way to be!

I indulge in happiness and bliss whenever I can even when I may start out feeling blah for whatever reason (the weather or an ailment). As soon as I engage in bliss-behaving, I begin to feel more energetic and joyful. One of my favorite things to do to bliss-behave is to play my favorite music, which is usually upbeat and energetic. Then any activity I do becomes play instead of work or a chore.

Bliss-behaving also describes what I do when I engage others in positive experiences like paying one a compliment, holding open a door, sharing a Gift of Love or simply a smile. It is playful and positive action where love and kindness are spread. And, the more I bliss-behave the more joyful I feel!

What does simply BLISS-behaving mean to you? What can you do to bliss-behave?
