I am so very blessed to have such a wonderful husband and fur-baby. Today we had a super walk together enjoying nature and each other’s company. As you can see from the photo, it was a beautiful day.
I deeply appreciate my husband, Rick, who supports me in countless ways; and, Sasha, my fur-baby, who is more than a fabulous companion. It is important to reflect on the loved ones in our lives and acknowledge their time and gifts that they share with us. Our spouses, our children and our fur-companions each have very significant roles in our lives, which deserve gratitude. Every act that they do, which makes your life more joyous and easier, needs to be recognized, acknowledged and appreciated.
Sometimes, however, when we get caught up in our daily routine and stresses, we forget our loved ones. We take for granted that they will be there for us. While this may usually be true, there will come a time in our lives when they will no longer be with us. It is important to cherish them as often as we can, acknowledge them, appreciate them and love them. They are the ones who are important, not the work, the chores, the daily routine and all the other stuff.
Therefore, I am taking time to think about my family and appreciate them as I write this brief article to thank them. Thank you Rick and Sasha! You are the best part of my life!

I am keeping this article short today. I will elaborate more tomorrow. Today was a GREAT, HEARTFELT day! My family had an estate/yard sale today. This took teamwork! This took patience! And, this took lots of love!
At the end of it all if felt great to do something as a family. I got to get to know neighbors and a schoolmate a bit better; and, I got to meet new people! It was awesome! It really wasn’t about making a bit of money; it was more about giving your heart to others, sharing time and stories. I feel richer than I have felt in a long time! I love the community I live in and deeply love my family for making our day successful on so many levels!
Nurture…feed, protect, support, encourage…our hearts and our friendships with joy and love. ~ Dr. Angela Kowitz Orobko
I define nurture in this passage as: to feed and protect; to support and encourage; foster. For our own well-being and that of the world it is important to nurture our friendships as well as our own hearts. I believe I can do both, nurture my heart and my friendships, at the same time. Spending time with friends, socializing, eating, drinking and being merry supports and encourages love and joy in our hearts.
The hearts of our friends as well as our own hearts are being nurtured as we spend time together and simply being in the moment with each other by giving our undivided attentions to each other. Every moment we have is a blessing that should be fully appreciated. Sharing these precious moments with others is a great way to appreciate those moments and nurture our own hearts as well as the hearts of our friends. Friendship is a form of love that deserves to be nurtured.
I will nurture my heart by feeding it joy and protecting it from negative feelings. I will support and encourage my heart with only those activities that I take delight. I will foster happiness in my life. This will nurture me! By nurturing me, I can nurture my friends and the world. Self-care is so important. It is vital that we do not neglect ourselves. How are we able to take care of others when we are not taking care of ourselves? By NURTURING, feeding, protecting, supporting, encouraging, our hearts and our friendships with joy and love.
