Hope

ako-oct8-2013-2

Next to love, hope is one of the most positive emotions we can embrace, which is to hang onto the best possible outcome.  Hope is holding onto a belief of a positive future. It is having faith. It is trusting that everything will be alright. Everything will turn out for the best.

Hope is to wish for something with the expectation of its fulfillment. Can hope lead to disappointment? Maybe, but I would rather be hopeful than despondent or in a state of despair. There is more joy in hope.

Despite the U.S. Government shutdown, we need not lose our hope. We need to continue to hope that there are those in Congress that are committed to serve the People of the United States of America. Yes, we are disappointed that a faction of those in power cannot see past their personal agendas and/philosophies to do what is BEST for his and her fellow citizens. We cannot lose hope and faith.

Martin Luther King, Jr. said: “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”

Despite what is going on in our Nation’s Capital, we have to lead our own individual lives. We have our own goals and dreams to fulfill. Never stop hoping.

Hope is optimistic! Hope gives one something for which to strive. Giving up hope is failing to try to live a life of possibility.

Why go down that road to despair and depression? Even if a situation seems hopeless, you gain so much more in reaching for the winning outcomes and experiencing life. We will lose/fail one hundred percent of those things we never attempt. Failure only occurs when we stop trying. Hope keeps our hearts blissful. It is that positive anticipation that drives our life purpose.

You decide, hope or despair? Which is going to give you the best possible outcome? Methinks, it is hope.

Hope Revisited

What is hope? Hope is holding onto a belief of a positive future. It is having faith. It is trusting that everything will be alright. The anticipation of a positive outcome or event can also define hope. Everything will turn out for the best. Hope is to wish for something with the expectation of its fulfillment. Can hope lead to disappointment? Maybe, but I would rather be hopeful than despondent or in a state of despair. There is more joy in hope.

On hope, the wisdom of the following express what I, too, believe.

Albert Einstein stated: “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.”

Martin Luther King, Jr. said: “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”

Thomas Jefferson expressed: “My theory has always been, that if we are to dream, the flatteries of hope are as cheap, and pleasanter, than the gloom of despair.

My question to you is: what are your hopes? Never stop hoping.  (from January 22, 2012)

These words still hold true for me now.

You decide, what are your personal gains or losses to hope? Do the gains out-measure the losses? I have a feeling that they do.

Let Your Light Shine!

This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine! ~ from A Classic Children’s Christian Song

My heart goes out to those who have been affected by the latest bombings in Libya; it also goes out to all those affected by any violence and negativity that often goes on daily in our lives. I want to be a ray of hope and light. I wish to spread love and compassion to you in your time of darkness. Let these words comfort you. You are not alone. I am thinking of you and sending you blessings.

We all can let our love and goodness shine in everything we do. Light attracts people and creatures by providing a ray of hope by lighting their path into safety. It takes courage; but, our light will draw love and admiration from others. Let us not worry. Let us be the light in the darkest of days to allow safe passage for others. Let us be hope and inspire positive action. Let us BE LOVE.
