Follow Your Heart

AKO-SteveJobsFollowHeart

Follow your heart and your passion, for that is where you will put forth the most effort and enthusiasm. Those activities and tasks that are carried out with enthusiasm will soon bring you recognition and success. So, as Steve Jobs asserted in word and actions, “There really is no reason not to follow your heart.”

Dreams and Passion

When you make passion your traveling companion in the pursuit of your dreams, you will have an amazing journey and meet extraordinarily positive outcomes.
~ Dr. Angela Kowitz Orobko

Dreams are a culmination of memories and desires. Dreams are ultimately our largest and greatest of intentions. Passion is any POWERFUL or COMPELLING emotion. Merging dreams and passion can produce amazing results.

Dreams can be reality even sooner when we plan, build and act on the steps that will create our dreams with passion! Taking ACTION toward our dreams with enthusiasm is the BEST way to realize our dreams. Enjoying the journey in the pursuit of our dreams with strong feelings can bring such deep satisfaction and happiness.

A great instrument in making our dreams a reality is visualization. When we visualize our dreams as if we are already there we can gain insight from our future self. For example, I have a dream to be well-known, published author and artist. By visualizing daily myself as an established and renowned author/artist, I see that I have scheduled time to create, that I have a support system, that I take time to relax to refuel my well of inspiration, and so on. With that insight into the future, I can plan, develop and act on my dream. And, the more I visualize, the more enthusiasm and gusto I generate in my very core being.

Can you guess what I do, now? I am taking action steps toward my dream. What are your dreams and passion? How can you best support your dreams?

I am deeply grateful to all you for reading, following and commenting on A Kiss of  Bliss. Each time you visit and provide feedback you fuel my heart and my dreams. How can I support your dreams?

Joy in Action!

Enthusiasm is joy in action; it is having passion, fervor or zeal for something. It is extreme positive energy in the present moment! ~Dr. Angela Kowitz Orobko

Enthusiasm is one of my favorite words as it expresses joy in action; it is having a keen interest, excitement, fervor or zeal in a cause or subject. It is cheerful and exciting because it expresses a higher level of energy. It is being passionate with joy for those items in our life that we consider important. Enthusiasm is a word that has its origins in the Greek language for “inspired by God.”

Enthusiasm is tossed into a group of such delicious words  such as: ardor, avidity, conviction, craze, dash, devotion, eagerness, earnestness, ecstasy, élan, emotion, energy, exhilaration, fanaticism, feeling, fervor,  fire, flame, flare, frenzy, fury, gaiety, glow, gusto, heat, hilarity, hobby, impetuosity, intensity, interest, joy, keenness, life, mania, mirth, nerve, oomph, orgasm, passion, pep, rapture, relish, snap, spirit, transport, vehemence, verve, vim, vivacity, warmth, zeal, zealousness, and zest

Norman Vincent Peale stated, “If you have zest and enthusiasm you attract zest and enthusiasm. Life does give back in kind.” I agree wholeheartedly with Norman Vincent Peale. I have yet to find people who are not affected by my enthusiasm. I have that effect on others even animals.

This leads me to a quote by Charles Schwab, “A man can succeed at almost anything for which he has unlimited enthusiasm.”  And, Vince Lombardi said, “If you aren’t fired with enthusiasm, you will be fired with enthusiasm.” (He cracks me up!)  Ralph Waldo Emerson stated, “Enthusiasm is the mother of effort, and without it nothing great was ever achieved.”  Have you ever seen anything worthwhile done without enthusiasm?

In the words of Henry Ford: Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait. The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas.

In my words, enthusiasm is the twinkle in my toes and the wiggle in my nose; it is the swing in my hips and the smile upon my lips! Enthusiasm is the thumping of my heart to the beat of my ideas that drums out a rhythm of inspiration for all to see.

Oliver Wendell Holmes wonderfully sums it up, “It’s FAITH IN something and  ENTHUSIASM FOR something that makes LIFE WORTH LIVING. Are you embracing your ENTHUSIASM FOR something?

Compassion

Compassion is made up of the Latin prefix “com-“, which means with, together or in association; and, the suffix “-passion,” which refers to Jesus Christ’s sufferings on the cross or can mean suffering. Simply put, compassion means in association with suffering. Wikipedia describes compassion as a virtue in which the emotional dimensions and capabilities of empathy and sympathy for the suffering of others are considered as part of love.

Compassion to me is holding the hand of another who is in pain either emotionally or physically (or both) and being present for him or her. You are there completely to support another being with unconditional love. Compassion is holding another physically or simply holding his or her intentions during times of distress and anguish. Compassion is one of the most loving gestures we can have for each other. It is BEING love to another human being no matter what the circumstances are. It is more than saying, “I LOVE YOU.” It is SHOWING, “I LOVE YOU!”

I want to dedicate this blog to my tia Gladys…I LOVE YOU, SO VERY MUCH tia Gladys!!!!

My aunt Gladys has always had compassion for everyone she has come in contact. She has been LOVE for so many people. I am so happy knowing that now everyone has compassion for her as she goes through this period in her life.
